OneOcean Port Vell, the Mediterranean’s leading superyacht marina, delighted guests during its début as host of the MYBA Charter Show last month. This event drew over 1600 attendees and 56 yachts that participated, adding up to a total 2437.9 linear metres and 29,000 gross tonnes of yachts berthed at the marina – it was an unmissable event to start the Mediterranean charter season.

During the MYBA Charter Show, there were two successful competitions that brought more attention not only to the show and the stunning location, but also to the artistry and skill of those in the yachting community. The first, the Superyacht Chefs Competition, led to an inspirational display of dishes and tablescapes marked by originality and creativity. The second competition, titled Art in a Glass, showcased several beautiful entries, as well as the talents of their creators.

Yacht charter registrations for Barcelona and the Balearics grew significantly, by 12% and 22% respectively* in the run up to the MYBA Charter Show, thus cementing an anticipated charter increase in Barcelona and its neighbouring cruising grounds. Additionally, the success of OneOcean Port Vell’s first tenure as host of the MYBA Charter Show speaks to the strength of its facilities, staff, and location.
